Christopher wins Card Competition
Hello all!
Been a while since my last update...however, some great news! Last night (Tuesday 24th June), i entered the Riviera Circle of Magicians Competitions, two in fact! One was for cards, the other for Mentalism (Mind reading basically). The competitions were set into Amateur and Professional competitions, depending on the entrants level and ability. I entered the Professional Magicians competitions. Magicians entered from all over the South West of England.
I am very happy to say in the Card Competition, i came in first place! Magicians were given 4-6 minutes to perform a Card act, with judges (both Magicians and laymen) voting on various aspects, such as Appearance, Professionalism, Technique, Performance...to name a few. Anyone who has seen me perform in 2008 will have already seen the routine, as it is the routine i perform every week at every performance. Congratulations to ALL who entered, and many thanks for those that voted me as the winner.
As for the Mentalism competition, i entered this on a spur of the moment and was a little unprepared to say the least! However, that being said, i came second place, behind a great Magician called Trev Stone. Again, many thanks to those that voted me.
That now means that i am current Plymouth Magic Circle Close up Magician of the year, and also Torquay Riviera Circle of Magicians Card Magician of the year.
